I recently taught a one hour course on non violent resistance, here are my thoughts and notes:
Use Power
Effective protests are disruptive. In the most extreme cases, that can even mean blocking access to spaces and committing sabotage. Even famous cases of nonviolence were intensely maligned at their times for being destructive (though that was also often propaganda).
