We want the world to be simple and just, for there to be good and evil, but of course the world isn’t that simple.
media often portrays a simple world, which is good for escapism, but terrible for actually making us think about the way the world works.
The temptation of clarity is so tempting because, if there are evil people in the world, then evil can be removed by identifying and removing those individuals, instead of thinking about how to create systemic change.
